Happy K New Year!!
January 1st, 2008Just wanted to drop by to great everyone a very Happy New Year! It has been a great 2007 with KDE and Kubuntu. I’m looking forward to a more productive and wonderful 2008!
KDE 4.0 is just around the corner… The egg is slowly hatching and revealing a baby dragon full of potential and promise. 2008 will definitely start with a bang!
Just some small updates, while I'm trying to get off my ass and migrate the site completely to Textpattern.

The Year of the Linux Desktop is here. This is my prediction for 2008. And I’m not talking adoption or market share. Many people don’t want change, they don’t want to learn– I’m talking me being able to buy any system out there with Linux instead of Windows installed. Dell is leading the way, nVidia and ATi have never been so friendly… and it only gets better from here. We will finally have choice!
We owe a lot to you guys at KDE. A /lot/. Between you and gnome, we have our own heated competition! Did that ever sink in? The force of competition, with no need for windows, no need for Mac OSX. We can harness the power of competition without them! Incredible, don’t you think?
With KDE4, you’re pushing the bar higher than it’s ever been. No desktop environment on any operating system is up to the standards you are about to set. How does it feel?
