Konquering the Planet
September 25th, 2007What’s one of the best ways to start your day? Waking up and finding out that you’re on Planet KDE!
So let me greet all you Gear heads!
A little introduction about myself. I’m a Philosophy graduate (what was I thinking?!) from the Philippines. I’m practically a Linux/KDE/Free Software baby, having only started using Linux in January of 2006. Kubuntu was my first distro, and it still is my distro of choice. I’ve been using KDE all throughout (except for a three-week stint with GNOME). I absolutely loved it! I’m an Ubuntu member and a Kubuntu and KDE contributor, mostly in the realm of user support, although I have written some pieces (or rather just one) of documentation and tried to make some patches here and there. But I’m planning on expanding my territories. I’m currently learing C++ in the hopes of being able to contribute by getting down and dirty with code. I’m fascinated with GUI’s so I’ll probaby focus in that area of development.
Until then, I’m looking forward to creating content and spreading the great (not just good) word about KDE. I’ve been blogging in Planet Ubuntu for some time now, so I hope to be able to reach more people through this new Planet.
Why KDE: one of my longest posts, a.k.a. almost an article, which got dugg (Thank goodness the site didn’t go down). And some other posts in the FOSS category.
Just some small updates, while I'm trying to get off my ass and migrate the site completely to Textpattern.

Welcome to the Planet!
You seem to put a lot of effort writing blog post; long texts, nice pictures and lots of links. Great!
I’m looking forward to seeing more of your writing.

Thanks for the words of welcome and encouragement!
I actually already have an overdue list of stuff to blog about… My only problem now is actually writing them.
